Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — PT Mandiri Utama Finance received a special award for "Sustainable Growth in Financing Performance" at the Bisnis Indonesia Financial Awards (BIFA) 2026.
BIFA is an annual awards event honoring industry players in financial services, specifically within the banking, financing (multifinance), and insurance sectors. This year marks the 18th edition of the event.
The special award was presented personally by Setyardi Widodo, Head of News at Bisnis Indonesia Group, to Dapot Parasian S. Sinaga—Operations Director and Acting President Director of PT Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF)—during the awards ceremony held at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta on Monday (October 12, 2026).
The award recognizes the financing company based on the assessment and careful deliberation of the *Bisnis Indonesia* editorial team regarding Mandiri Utama Finance's ability to consistently and sustainably maintain its financing business performance through portfolio management, business expansion, and the strengthening of financing quality.
Dapot Parasian S. Sinaga, Operations Director of PT Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF), views this award as a reflection of MUF’s aspiration to achieve continued, sustainable growth.
The company aims to achieve this growth aggressively yet strategically by analyzing market segmentation—comparing "captive" and "non-captive" financing segments—and focusing on "bankable" customers; this approach allows the company to secure significant booking volumes while effectively maintaining asset quality. “We hope to maintain consistent performance and continue contributing positively to the multifinance industry through steady growth. We also aim to preserve strong relationships with our banking partners—Bank Mandiri, Bank BSI, and Bank Permata—to facilitate the flow of high-quality loan applications and secure high-quality customers. This approach allows us to sustain growth while ensuring the quality of our acquisitions,” he explained.
As part of its growth strategy, MUF plans to expand its acquisition channels in the near future by forging partnerships with additional banks.
“This includes a partnership with a state-owned bank (Himbara) and a newly established sharia bank. We view this as an innovation that will broaden Mandiri Utama Finance’s customer base; as our number of banking partners grows, so too will the volume of incoming applications—all while maintaining high quality.”
He noted that MUF remains committed to becoming a leader in the multifinance industry, despite economic challenges such as declining consumer purchasing power and ongoing geopolitical instability.
“Nevertheless, we remain dedicated to driving positive growth in our sales by carefully selecting and vetting customers to ensure high credit quality. This is our commitment to sustainable growth,” he stated.
MUF has successfully built synergies with banks and automotive dealers, offering a streamlined, integrated financing process that provides a positive experience and assists customers in selecting their motor vehicles.
Amid the ongoing dynamics within the automotive and financing sectors, MUF has maintained a positive performance; as of August 2024, the company’s total financing disbursement reached IDR 16.4 trillion, representing a 9.4% year-on-year (YoY) increase.
This growth is supported by sustained demand for vehicle financing.
