A finance service employee was allegedly forcibly taken by a group of individuals claiming to be members of the Joyosemoyo mass organization at the BRI Tower building in Surabaya.
The incident occurred during the day within the office premises and was witnessed and recorded by several bystanders at the scene.
The group reportedly came on behalf of a customer who had defaulted on a vehicle loan.
Initially, they visited the office for a mediation attempt, but no agreement was reached as the employee insisted on adhering to the company's internal policies.
The situation escalated, and the employee was forcefully pulled into a vehicle by several individuals in the presence of security personnel, including members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri).
The group claimed they only intended to invite the employee for further discussion at their organization’s office on Jalan Asembagus, Surabaya.
As of now, the employee's whereabouts remain unknown.
The company’s management and the victim's family have urged the police to take immediate legal action to investigate and follow up on the incident.
