Following this, the Pamekasan Police handed over the suspect to the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Sumenep Police for further investigation.
OAP (27), a resident of Arya Wiraraja Street, Kolor Village, Kota District, Sumenep, reported the suspect after the motorcycle he had borrowed was pawned without permission.
The incident began when the suspect, a resident of Lawangan Daya Village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan, traveled by car with a friend toward Sumenep on Sunday (1/12/2025) at around 7:30 PM WIB.
An hour later, upon arriving at the Saronggi District intersection in Sumenep, SU got out of the car and boarded a bus to the Arya Wiraraja Terminal in Sumenep.
He then walked to the victim's house, which was not far from the terminal. The two were already well acquainted.
Upon arriving at the victim's house, the suspect knocked on the gate, and the victim came out to meet him.
The suspect was invited inside, and the two engaged in conversation.
“Then, the suspect borrowed the motorcycle briefly, claiming he needed to meet a friend,” explained the Head of Public Relations for the Sumenep Police, AKP Widiarti, on Saturday morning (2/1/2025).
However, instead of meeting a friend, the suspect rode the motorcycle to Pamekasan.
“Without the victim's permission, the motorcycle was pawned to someone else for Rp 2,200,000, and the money was used for daily needs,” she added.
As a result of his actions, the suspect faces charges under Articles 377 and 372 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP).
