Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF) Hopes GIIAS 2024 Can Boost Performance

KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF) assesses that the 2024 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) automotive exhibition will have a good impact on the distribution of motor vehicle financing.

MUF Main Director, Stanley Setia, assesses that the prospect of distributing new vehicle financing is still very potential, especially as there are many new cars being released at this year's GIIAS event.

Until June 2024, the new car segment still contributes the largest to MUF's financing distribution, namely IDR 4.8 trillion or 44.7% of the total financing distribution, followed by the used car segment at IDR 4 trillion or 37.3%.

"We hope that the GIIAS event will boost the performance of finance companies by increasing automotive sales," said Stanley to Kontan.co.id, Wednesday (17/7).

Even though the automotive sales trend is declining, MUF is still recording good growth. The total distribution of MUF financing in semester I-2024 reached IDR 10.8 trillion, growing 6.9% compared to the same period last year.

Then for the financing distribution target, MUF is targeting IDR 14 trillion for the second semester, while the target for the whole year 2024 is IDR 25 trillion.

Meanwhile, MUF is maximizing a number of strategic steps to boost financing in the second half of this year, such as developing office network permits, strengthening and expanding cooperation with dealer partners, showrooms and partners, as well as holding various events to reach consumers in various big cities in Indonesia, such as Bandung City. , Jakarta, Banjarmasin, Makassar and various other big cities.

"Apart from that, we are also preparing digital innovation to simplify service to consumers," he said.
