Astra Financial Records Positive Performance in All Business Lines

KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The brand from PT Astra International Tbk's financial services division, Astra Financial, recorded positive performance in all business lines.

Director of Astra and Director-in-Charge of Astra Financial Suparno Djasmin said that the financing sector was recorded as disbursing funds amounting to IDR 128 trillion in 2023. "This value grew by 14%, compared to 2022," he said in an official statement, Tuesday (26/3).


Suparno detailed that the two-wheeled vehicle financing company, namely FIFGROUP, posted a profit of IDR 4.1 trillion in 2023. This value increased by 29%, compared to 2022.

Apart from that, four-wheeled vehicle financing companies, namely PT Astra Sedaya Finance (ACC) and Toyota Astra Financial Services (TAF) posted profits throughout 2023 of IDR 2.3 trillion or an increase of 24% compared to 2022.

Meanwhile, heavy equipment financing companies, namely Surya Artha Nusantara Finance (SANF) and Komatsu Astra Finance (KAF) posted profits of IDR 178 billion in 2023. This value increased by 75%, compared to 2022.

For the insurance sector, Suparno explained that the general insurance company, namely Astra Insurance, recorded an increase in net profit of 14% to IDR 1.4 trillion in 2023. Meanwhile, the life insurance company, namely Astra Life, recorded an increase in gross premiums of 2% to IDR 6. 1 trillion.

"In the banking sector, Bank Jasa Jakarta recorded total assets of IDR 11.2 trillion with loan distribution worth IDR 3.8 trillion in 2023," he said.

Meanwhile, Suparno said that the digital banking service launched in November 2023, Bank Saqu, had recorded 500 thousand users by February 2024.

In the pension fund sector, Suparno stated that the management of pension funds by the Astra Pension Fund was recorded at more than IDR 15 trillion. After that, for the financial technology sector, he said Maucash recorded financing distribution of IDR 3.1 trillion in 2023 with 20 million downloads.

In the electronic money sector, Suparno explained that AstraPay recorded a Gross Transaction Value (GTV) of IDR 42 trillion, with more than 12 million users. For the digital venture sector, Suparno called Moxa the Astra Financial Wealth Hub, recording a GTV of 3.9 trillion with 19.7 million downloads.

Meanwhile, SEVA, which is a car search platform from Astra Financial, recorded a total GTV of more than IDR 11.7 trillion, with sales of 24 thousand cars to consumers.

Suparno also said that based on the 2023 financial report, Astra Financial recorded total assets worth IDR 185 trillion. This figure increased by 4.5%, compared to the previous year which amounted to IDR 177 trillion. He said the increase was supported by significant growth in the business portfolio in the financing, insurance sectors, as well as the development of digital-based financial services.
