KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. MUFG Bank Ltd Jakarta Branch (MUFG) agreed to fund PT Komatsu Astra Finance (KAF) worth IDR 375 billion. This funding is for financing Hybrid Hydraulic Excavators to end-users.
Executive Officer, Country Head of Indonesia, MUFG Kazushige Nakajima said, this funding is in line with MUFG's efforts to make significant steps in contributing to a greener future by supporting innovators like KAF.
He said the goal of the funding is to achieve a net zero emissions portfolio by 2050 and support these transformative technologies. "The construction industry is currently taking strong steps in that direction," said Nakajima in his official statement, Monday (22/1).
Meanwhile, KAF President Director Tomoyasu Hamada said that this funding support plays an important role in expanding KAF's construction equipment which has high efficiency and low CO2 emissions for the future.
"The hybrid excavator launched today, Komatsu HB365-1, a pioneer in heavy machinery, uses main hybrid components that are strong in performance and efficient in energy use," said Hamada.
He said the excavator operates with up to 17% less fuel consumption than non-hybrid models, reducing its emissions footprint by up to 13kg/hour.
