KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Amid the covid-19 pandemic that is still overshadowing in 2021, the performance of financing company Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF) is still positive. During that period, the company was still able to record a net profit of Rp 102 billion.

"Our profit, compared to 2019 before the pandemic, has doubled," said MUF Finance Director Rully Setiawan in a media gathering, Thursday (24/2).

The net profit growth was driven by new financing in 2021 which was recorded at Rp 11.6 trillion. The achievement shows a growth of 97.6% from the previous year.

In addition, profit growth was also driven by a decline in outstanding restructured loans. In 2021, outstanding loan restructuring in MUF decreased by about 51.2% yoy to the remaining Rp 1.6 trillion.

Meanwhile, the company's financing receivables also increased by 34.5% from 2020 to Rp 16.6 trillion. Meanwhile, the achievement is claimed to have been at a pre -pandemic level.

Meanwhile, in 2022, the company targets the company's net profit to grow back at least 70% of the year's achievement. It is also driven by the growth of new financing which is estimated to reach Rp 12.3 trillion.

"The profit target is listed in the RKAP, but we really want it to grow twice every year," added Rully.

Rully also added that to achieve these targets, his party will increase cooperation with dealers and showrooms, as well as strengthen the synergies of the Bank Mandiri group.

However, he mentioned that the company still carries out strict selection to conduct acquisitions. This is done as risk management so that the portfolio remains healthy.
